Arenas is the type of player every coach wants on their roster—a fierce competitor whose leadership and relentless motor set the tone for her team. While many players bring either skill or hustle, Arenas consistently delivers on both. She possesses both the handles and confidence to generate offense on her own and her ability to create off the dribble is special. The next step in Arenas’ development is resisting the urge to carry the offense herself and learning when to trust those around her, as she occasionally tried to do too much and could have powered her team through assists and distribution, not just points.

Hamiley shined all weekend long, particularly in the championship game, leading Sierra Canyon to victory in a 1pt nail-biter against Corona Centennial. Her 16 points came in timely moments throughout the game. Extremely advanced basketball IQ to go along with size and versatility. Hamiley can score the ball at a high clip on all 3 levels. Very difficult to stop when she has it going.

One of the most dynamic guards in the state and potentially the nation. Smooth scorer that can get all the way to rim or stop and knock down open jumper if given space. Showed the ability her freshman year to go OFF for big games. Rhythm shooter that can really get going + has range well beyond the H.S line. Shifty with the ball, evaluates the defense well and finds ways to create in limited space.

Hamiley had a bigtime freshman campaign averaging over 23ppg + 11reb while being named All CIF. 3 level scorer with the ability to get hot and score in bunches. Shifty handle + ability change to pace makes her very hard to keep in front. Reads the defense well, utilizes short pull ups, floaters, and is very crafty at the rim. Efficient in transition. Score first mentality, consistently hunts for her shot. Already shows high release and the ability to shoot contested comfortability.
