Gillette has recently moved up in the rankings due to her remarkable spring grassroots season. She has started off the summer the same way. According to her coaches, she is an extremely hard worker. In the game I watched, she played strong defense, got some steals, made a corner 3-pointer, and finished a tough contested lay-up off two feet. She would be a valuable addition to any college program.

2025-Piaz at The Clash. She caught a pass in the paint and executed a quick forward pivot to score around her defender. Hannah knocked down a mid-range jumper and was a defensive asset for her team. She maintains a strong, balanced defensive stance and demonstrates off-ball awareness. One of Hannah’s best plays was when she secured a defensive rebound, drove full court to the paint into a jump stop, then combined a shot-fake and pivot to score a contested bucket.

Gillette had a great fall for her Northview team. She is a playmaker and kept her team in plenty of games. She handles the ball at a high level and shows a craftiness about her. She will have to continue to put up the numbers she did this fall to give her Northview team a chance to win some conference games this season.

Gillette led her team to two wins in week 1, including a one-point thriller over Grand Rapids Christian! She executed a beautiful step-back three-pointer from the top of the key. She does a great job handling the ball, and had a nice behind-the-back move as she was attacking the paint. She beat her player base-line on a play and finished with a forward spin shot at the rim. I think Hannah will have an amazing junior season if this week was any indicator of what’s to come!

Gillette put her name square on the map this spring. She was so smart and efficient with the ball in her hands. Gillette showed that she could dish the ball off on the move and attack the bucket off the bounce. I have her listed as a combo guard, but she really showed the ability to be a playmaker.

Gillette has been turning some heads this grassroots season and that continued at PGH Live this weekend. In a Players To Watch preview article for the Live event, we looked at her as a scorer. Over the weekend it was her ability to find and feed her teammates that stood out. Gillette earned a Top Performer designation.
