Hannah is one of those prospects you bring in to be a “glue” type of kid. She can play a variety of roles, she is strong, physical, and she plays hard, plus she’s willing to do a lot of things and make hustle plays other girls don’t want to do. She has broad shoulders and a strong frame, so she’s able to absorb contact well. This allows her to defend with physicality, rebound among taller girls, but also attack the basket and draw fouls. She handles it reasonably well, she can knock down open rhythm jumpers, and she can find open teammates when it’s not there for herself. She finds ways to be productive.

Hannah might be a longshot compared to the other three players on this list and the seasons they’ve had, but consider this…Hannah averaged 18.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 4.3 steals per game for a very good Eagle team who won their first Sectional and Regional title in just their fourth year as an IHSAA member school. Hannah is a strong, physical wing guard, she plays with a great motor, and she has a real savvy and great understanding of the game. When I was able to see her last June at the scholastic live period, she was fun to watch and had sort of an “old school” game.

When I saw Hannah for the first time back in June with her school team, I thought she was a nice player and figured she would follow up a strong Junior year with another similar season as a Senior. I’m not sure I expected to see her nearly double her scoring average, going from 12.3 to 23.8 points per game. She has been great all year, and consistency has been the biggest part of it, with her single game high being just 31 points, while she has scored 14 or more each time out as well. Additionally, the strong wing has averaged 4.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 5.2 steals, shooting 46% from the field and 39% from downtown.

Hannah has gotten better each season, going from 2.7 points as a Freshman, to 8.4 points as a Sophomore, to 12.3 points per game as a Junior. She has gotten stronger and is finishing better around the basket. She also contributes in a variety of ways. She can get to the paint, knock down the occasional 3-pointer, plus she can handle and distribute, or initiate the offense from transition. She’s an excellent defender, and she rebounds her position as well.
