Coach Cedrick Simpson’s 3A Orangeburg-Wilkinson team had a resurgent 2023-24. Williams will be a key element of a Bruins team surely to be among the top teams in what will be a drastically different 3A landscape come 2024-25. Williams finished with 10 points as One Team One Dream concluded this year’s Battle for the Ring with a close 48-47 victory over Lady Carolina Hoopz. Among the many things Williams brings to a team is the ability to fearlessly attack the rim and a knack for making plays in transition. Williams’ athletic plate is full between not only excelling at basketball but also on the varsity soccer team at Orangeburg-Wilkinson.

The same applies to Williams as it does to Rumph in terms of freshmen to watch in 2022-23. Williams has sported the uniform of SC Future throughout the AAU spring and summer months and is a multi-sport athlete who is part of the Bruins’ soccer team. She previously was part of the junior varsity roster at Orangeburg-Wilkinson before ascending to varsity status. Williams participated on a 2021-22 Bruins rendition that was guard-heavy but will look significantly different this coming season than it did last season. She stands at a stature of 5-foot-1 and plays primarily plays at the one in the backcourt.

Williams ran on the grassroots circuit with SC Future and is a dual-sport athlete who was already playing varsity for the Orangeburg-Wilkinson girls soccer team. She looks to be the next guard up on a Bruins team that was guard-heavy but lost a number of graduating seniors – including three of its noteworthy star guards. Williams previously was part of the junior varsity basketball team as well with the Bruins but has worked her way up to varsity status at 3A Orangeburg-Wilkinson. When thinking about 2026s that could manage breakout seasons, one has to keep Williams on the radar.
