About Haylee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Not afraid to contest shots and has a knack for altering attempts. Strong rebounder who boxes out consistently and commands the boards. Physical, interior-focused player with good size for her age and a strong presence in the paint. Effective rebounder on both ends and does a great job of creating second-chance opportunities with put-backs

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Willing to listen, learn, and apply feedback. Doesn’t take criticism personally and sees it as a way to improve. Plays with fire and wants to win, but stays composed in high-pressure situations. Knows how to channel emotion into focus. Puts the success of the team above individual stats. Makes the extra pass, sets hard screens, and celebrates teammates’ success as much as their own.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

FFA (Future Farmers of America)

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

A mature sense of teamwork and naturally puts the group’s success ahead of her own. On the court, she communicates well—calling out screens, encouraging teammates, and helping organize on defense. She’s quick to pick up teammates after mistakes and is the first to celebrate their successes.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I used the off-season to fully recover and come back stronger after my broken ankle. I stayed disciplined with rehab, focused on rebuilding strength, mobility, and conditioning, and worked on my basketball IQ and skills I could improve off the court. By the time I returned, I felt more determined, resilient, and confident in my ability to overcome setbacks

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can grow both as a player and a person. I want a program with a strong team culture, coaches who will challenge me and develop my game, and a competitive environment where I can contribute. Academically, I’m looking for a school that offers a nurturing health sciences program and supports student-athletes.
