About Haylee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

high-energy, versatile, and team-focused. I can score in multiple ways—driving to the basket, hitting mid-range shots, or knocking down threes—but I’m a pass-first player who looks to create opportunities for my teammates. I play with a high basketball IQ, make quick decisions, and bring intensity on defense. I’m always working to improve and lead with purpose both on and off the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m driven, focused, and team-oriented. I thrive in competitive environments, stay composed under pressure, and lead with integrity. I’m always looking to grow, support others, and bring positive energy to everything I do. Off the court, I'm relentless with my training—working with a personal coach and weightlifting. A multi-sport athlete, Haylee also excels on a national level volleyball team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where I was selected by my peers as one of our school leaders. I am also involved in PURPOSE, a faith based leadership program at my high school. I have been on the Honor Roll for the last 3 years.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I lead by example, bringing energy, positivity, and purpose to my team. I emphasize being a role model both on and off the court, aiming to inspire teammates through my actions and attitude. I have a strong faith, strive to make a difference in the classroom, in my community, and for my teammates. My goal is to make those around me better, on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have played against older kids since I was in 3rd grade, where my travel team played in an inner city, all boys league. Although we lost every game that season, I learned how to play with toughness, and how important it is to play with great attitude and effort. At the end of that season, I was selected to play on the All-Star team.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm searching for a college where I can compete at a high level while continuing to develop as a leader, teammate, and role model. I’m looking for a program where I can grow, contribute, and be part of something bigger than myself.

She facilitates timely and accurate ball movement, and when the defense starts to relax on her she will throw the defense off when she shoots and hits the 3. Miller consistently helped break the press for her team- not with speed but by being patient, keeping her head up and using ball fakes to shift the defense for strong bounce passes to the open man.
