About Hollyn
Expert Analysis

Hollyn is a name I have known and a kid I saw play years ago. She is a player well known around North Georgia for great size and length as well as very good athleticism. Hicks can really get off the floor and she did several times tonight from the job ball, to the many rebounds she was able to elevate and grab out of the air, to the smooth and skillful finishes she showed around the rim. Hollyn pulled a post defender out onto the perimeter on one play, let everyone clear out, and then blew right before before scoring with finesse. Hicks moves extremely well for a kid her size and is solid on both ends of the court. She wants to become a pilot after her playing days are over, so any college programs that offer that major should definitely give her a look!

Hollyn was the entire team in a forgetful performance, posting 14 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block as she scored every point for the Broncos. Hicks was assertive posting up and calling for the ball, getting prime real estate and drawing fouls inside. Everything runs through Hollyn when the Broncos are clicking. She can score from multiple levels and is a good passer when collapsed on in the paint.

A debut of 16 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block is how Hollyn tipped off her season in a win over Denmark. Hicks got stronger as the game went on, doing a bulk of her damage at the foul line as the Danes struggled to control her. Hicks is a highly skilled stretch forward capable of playing 3-5. She has game-breaking talent, especially with how she can dominate defensively.

A stretch forward with a growing offensive package, Hicks knocks down threes and is becoming increasingly creative off the bounce. She has touch around the basket and protects the rim effectively without fouling. Her blend of size, shooting, and shot-blocking make her a versatile inside-out option.

Hicks nailed a pair of threes en route to finishing with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks. With great size, Hollyn impacts games inside and out. She can score with her back to the basket with both hands, but is also a dangerous three-point shooter that can create mismatches.

At 6-foot-1, Hicks can play inside and out. She averaged 5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. Hollyn has a blossoming stretch-forward skill set. By Year 2, don’t be surprised if East Forsyth is running the offense through her.

Hicks has interesting upside at 6-foot-1. Hollyn can play in the post or on the wing. She has a nice shooting touch and good presence of mind on the low block. She isn’t afraid to help handle the ball. When all is said and done, Hollyn has a chance to become East Forsyth’s best player in the school’s young history.
