Gomes displayed great energy and anticipation on both ends of the court, consistently making her presence felt. Looking ahead, I foresee Gomes truly stepping into her own this season and playing a major role in the success of her high school team.

Defensively, if there was a turnover while she was on the court, she likely caused it—whether by being a pest on the ball or staying disciplined in help defense. Offensively, she was always moving, even after passing, and consistently knew how to fill the right spots. One standout play came when Gomes grabbed a rebound among taller players, pushed the ball in transition, and delivered a no-look pass to a teammate for a three. Gomes proved she is a baller who can impact the game in multiple ways.

I’ve seen Isabella play in Atlanta and Wesley Chapel before, and she plays with really good energy and anticipation on both sides of the ball. I’m excited to see how she plays against top players from different areas of the state in a loaded event like this. She’s an under the radar role player in central FL that is one of those players you want to have on your team as a coach and a teammate.
