She handled all of her responsibilities as a freshman on a very young squad. She was top three in scoring most of the season in Northwest Ohio. Also, first team all-conference, super athletic with the ability to score on an explosive step to the rim or distribute for a shot. She’s very poised for a ninth grader, she has a good skill set and is hungry and eager to continue to grow her game. She makes a jump to the top 20!

I’yonna had a standout performance against Springfield High School, scoring 26 points and tying the school record with six made three-pointers. She added 2 blocks, 9 steals, and multiple assists, doing it all to help lead her team to victory.

Looking back on what she showed me, the first thing that stood out was her defensive pressure and her ability to read the play. She is able to push tempo and her speed north/south, and she’s also able to defend well on-ball. Gets people involved, I expect her to have a very productive freshman season.

Good active feet on defense and a shifty guard with good handles. Causes havoc on the defense end with her quickness and aggressive play. Love her strength on driving to the rim.
