Montgomery showed some really good moments for the Lady Bruins this season. Jada played her last two seasons at South Florence HS after starting out at Lake City HS. She likes to operate from the corners and out on the wing. She can handle the rock at times but seems to be at her best shooting the rock.

Jada averaged 14.5 ppg this season for the Lady Bruins (11-11).

Typically, playing at The Castle is hostile territory for anyone wearing South Florence colors. For the 4A Bruins on Monday morning, it was anything but as Montgomery led her team to a 58-29 win to dispatch of 2A Cheraw. She finished with 17 points and displayed many of the qualities that has made her one of the state’s premier seniors. Montgomery’s ability to score from all three levels is complimented by what she can get accomplished as a passer. She plays with a heads-up attitude – particularly on defense and it is a mentality that can lead to steals and additional possessions.

Montgomery, an upperclassman, is listed as the team captain for this year’s rendition of 4A South Florence. Captains are supposed to steer ships – through both smooth and choppy waters and Montgomery certainly did that as her Bruins encountered choppy seas against another tough 4A bunch in Riverside. Montgomery finished with 20 points to lead all scorers. She particularly showcased what she could get accomplished from behind the 3-point line as she drained five 3-pointers for the game. She is listed at 5-foot-5 and typically plays in the backcourt as a guard. Montgomery will also corral her fair share of rebounds and can create additional possessions for her team with the steals she collects.

Montgomery made the move over to the Lady Bruins this off season from Lake City HS. Jada is an attacking guard and a great addition to the Lady Bruins roster this season. She made a strong impression at the South Carolina Prep Girls Hoops Top 250 Expo and SCBCA Elite Camp this past month. Jada can create her own shot on the floor and also brings good defensive awareness with her ability to defend on the ball.

Montgomery has made the move over to the Lady Bruins after playing at nearby Lake City HS. Prep Girls Hoops has honestly not seen her play yet.

She is signed up for the Prep Girls Girls Hoops Top 250 Expo next weekend September 11, 2022 in Myrtle Beach. We are looking for to seeing her play next weekend.
