, ended up being one ofthe team’s main scoring threats through their title run.
Reed scored 10 points in the semi-finals of her district tournament and 10 points in the finals.
Reed at 5’11” can do a bit of everything. She can score at an above-average level in the paint and has great dribbling skills at her size. Reed is also an extremely unselfish player. She’s always looking to make the right play, whether that be attacking the basket herself or making a pass to an open teammate.
Reed is also an extremely good defender, especially when it comes to getting steals. She has everal games with three or more steals this season, including a six-steal performance against Cocke County. Reed’s ability to move quickly at her size laterally plays a big part in her being one of her team’s best steal threats.

Jayden Reed and the South Gibson girls’ basketball team posted a record of 28-9 in the 2024-2025 season.
Reed is definitely a player to look out for based on the impact she had as a sophomore. She is a steal machine on defense and has a deep bag on the offensive end. Last season, she had a few games with four or more steals. This includes a game where she had six steals against Cocke County.
On offense, she can score down low efficiently, and at 5’10” is capable of shooting threes. Reed also has good speed for her size. This helps her be an above-average defender and plays into her elite rebounding.
Look out for Reed and the rest of this South Gibson squad this school year; another dominant season is likely looming.

I am interested to see what this year will bring for Jade and her SG ball club. She had a phenomenal year last year, where she was the leading catalyst that sparked a tremendous run deep into the tournament. This kid plays with infectious energy that vibrates throughout the program. She competes on both ends of the floor and is willing to do whatever to help her ball club win. She is a scoring threat from multiple spots on the floor, but also contributes in other phases of the game. I think they have something special brewing in South Gibson, and this young lady is one of the reasons this club is trending up.

Multi-sport athlete who plays the game with tons of energy. This kid gets after it on every possession. Doesn’t matter if it’s on the defensive end or offensive side of the ball, she is going to leave her mark one way or another. She has a knack for being around the basketball. She has a great sense of court awareness and is always looking to get steals. Her efforts on D lead to easy transitional buckets going the other way. She is a hungry individual who can score at will by finding favorable spots on the floor. This kid had a coming-out party this past season, and I believe she will stack multiple seasons that will be comparable to this past one. Super talented kid with a high ceiling.

She is a bruiser who had an awesome end-of-the-year run. Well, she had been doing it all season, but when it came to tournament time, it was like she went into another gear. On both ends of the floor, she dominated, giving her team an edge in every contest. She was big-time, doing the little things to help propel her ball club. She is one to watch because as she adds more to her game, she makes herself and her squad even tougher. A solid prospect with a huge upside.

A tremendous athlete that just plays with a motor. Can score it from multiple spots, but it’s what she does with the ball in her hands that tips the scale. She gets after it on both ends of the floor. She can lockdown defensively, then turn around and go get you a bucket. A solid talent who will continue to grow throughout the rest of her high school career.

Left her fingerprints all over this game as she was the leading catalyst for her South Gibson squad. She was great inside, finishing 6 of 8 from the field. She brought in a total of 15 points, but what stood out was her ability to help neutralize her opponent. She grabbed 6 defensive boards and got 5 steals. She had an impactful day that spearheaded her club into the next round. A solid kid whose stock is rising for sure, especially after performances like this.

Motored up kid who is versatile as all get out. A selfless leader who is willing to do whatever it takes to help her ballclub win. She can pull it from multiple spots on the floor, however, if you pay close attention to her game, she is relentless on the boards. This kid is really talented and as she continues to hone her skills, expect big things from her. She’s a big deal in the ‘27 class and expect more people to take notice of her game.

The talented freshman has really come on for South Gibson of late. She been putting up really nice numbers approaching double-doubles as she earning more and more playing time. She recently had a huge 18 point, 13 rebound game, and has been a solid defender, rim protector, and rebounder all year long. The duo of her and Hallie Allen in the pain is tough!
