Jaela will be playing for the MA Huskies this spring and summer AAU season and brings a strong defensive identity. She’s a great on-ball defender with active hands that generate steals and fuel transition opportunities. Offensively, she has a quick release from three, a tight handle that allows her to navigate through defenders, and strong vision as a distributor who consistently finds open teammates.

Hanley got after it this weekend. In the game watched, she displayed a fearless attitude that aided her in creating chaos in the backcourt defensively. It wasn’t just in halfcourt either, Jaela was able to hound players to make them couch it up in transition too. The offense was notable too as she got to her spots in the right moments. Hanley was able to do this without forcing too much either, giving opportunities for teammates to produce alongside her.

Hanley has been recognized consistently this season and for good reason. Hanley steps in the most ideal times and her teammates can depend on her to come through for them no matter the situation. In her last game she added 16 pts, 5 reb plus 2 stl to lead her to team to victory over Hoosac.

Hanley has been a surprising talent so far this season. She’s rising above her asked role and looking marvelous doing so. The ’27 guard is always there to make a play at the right time. She’s even ramped up her scoring production a considerable amount. Jaela’s recent 27 pt performance in a close loss vs Loomis Chaffee was a great indication of that. This momentum should carry into the new year. Her stock is definitely rising.

Hanley came into the game and made a quick impact hitting a 3 in stride. She looked very confident as the ball swung her way. Later on in the game, she pulled up behind the arch before the defense was set up and hit another to extend the lead to 15 points. A few plays later Kimball finds her on the right wing as the defense collapses for one more 3-pointer. Hanley also provided a sense of physicality on the defensive end. Jaela contested shots all over and was hustling to the loose balls. Hanley played a great supportive role.
