Jaionna first caught my attention with Michigan Goonies at Northwood during the PGH Circuit College Tour. She followed with an impressive performance at The Compound Fall League with Chippewa Valley. Jaionna plays with high energy, effort, and physicality on the court. She’s very effective at muscling into position to receive entry passes in the low post, then going up strong to finish through contact. Jaionna can attack downhill to score and get to the free-throw line off the dribble. She doesn’t shy away from contact and bulldozes her way to the rim. Jaionna’s aggressive defense, length, and mobility give opposing forwards more than they can handle. She will be a key player to watch in the lineup.

Jaionna gave Chippewa Valley an edge with her physicality, toughness, energy, and interior impact at The Compound Fall League. Her determination led to many offensive and defensive rebounds. Jaionna worked hard to get the advantage inside, caught passes with good hands, and scored or ended up on the free-throw line. She caught a pass with strong hands in the paint and used a great step-through pivot to score. Jaionna faced up and drove hard to cause a foul, then showed her ability to play with her back to the basket, using an assertive drop-step pivot, then stretching to score a strong and-one layup through contact. She’s scrappy and a difficult matchup for opposing forwards.

Jaionna is a physical forward who gave Michigan Goonies 16U E40 an edge in the paint at the PGH MI College Tour. She muscled through contact to score at the rim, drove hard to the basket, finished well in traffic off two feet, was active on the boards, and worked hard on the defensive end.
