Bryant has a lot of young players who have become key contributors this season. One of those young players who plays like a veteran is

, and she has blossomed into a star.
Against Central in February, Williams put up 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 stocks, against a very good opposing frontcourt. She had a similar performance about a month prior in a game against Little Rock Christian, logging 20 points, 11 boards, and 2 steals.
Williams plays more like a small forward sometimes on offense, being able to knock down threes, especially off the catch. However, her length and athleticism allow her to be nearly unstoppable in the paint. Rebounding has been her specialty ever since she was a freshman, and her post defense ability continues to develop.

is coming off a great freshman season where she emerged as one of the best rebounders in the 6A classification. She has now expanded her arsenal, and she may be one of the most versatile players in the state.
Williams did most of her work in the final three quarters of the game, putting up 19 points and hitting at least 4 3-pointers (I lost count). Catch-and-shoot threes came easy to her, and I do not recall her even missing one. She is clearly a much better and more comfortable outside shooter, but that is not all that she did.
Williams crashed the glass like always, but her play on the defensive end was fantastic. She recorded 4 steals in the victory, which helped spark the fastbreak, where she often benefited from in the scoring category.

Bryant is looking scary in the 6A Central. Not only do they bring in Gia Campbell, a top-5 player in the 2028 class who is transferring from Bauxite, but they bring back

, who was a big-time player for the Lady Hornets in 2024-25.
Williams was an all-state player a year ago, cementing herself as a bona fide double-double threat. She can outrebound everyone thanks to her length and athleticism, being able to stretch and leap over the opposition to grab a board. Those physical abilities come in handy on the defensive end, as she can block shots at a high level.
Williams is not like most bigs in the state: she has shown that she can handle the ball and make plays for others. Bryant needed more playmaking last season, so they called upon their freshman big to show off her handles and her court vision.

is a versatile player for the Lady Hornets. She is an obvious dominant player in the paint, but she has already shown that she has some perimeter abilities. If she can add a consistent jumpshot to her already-impressive list of skills, colleges will not be able to get enough of her.

had a double-double against Central back in January, putting the entire 6A central on notice. She was close to getting another double-double in last night’s close affair.
The freshman posted 8 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and drew 1 charge. After having a hot first quarter, Central’s defense started tightening up on her, so she had to make an impact in other ways.
Williams was held to just 2 rebounds in the first half, but she finally started finding success crashing the glass in the second, especially on the offensive end. The forward pulled down 4 second-chance rebounds, keeping plays alive. A couple of her assists came off those rebounds, and she was very comfortable handling the ball and initiating the offense.

had plenty of great moments for the Lady Hornets. She even showed that she is more than a post player, as she was perfect from the 3-point line, knocking down 2 triples.

is one of the best bigs in the 6A classification, and even as just a freshman, she showed that she was the best Hornet on the floor.
Williams recorded 18 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 3 blocks in the loss. The Hornets could not get anything going on offense for much of the game, and Williams was their lone playmaker often times.
For much of the season, the primary way Williams scores is from second-chance opportunities. She still did that, pulling down 5 offensive rebounds, but she had to rely more on her shot-creation to score. Williams was moved to the perimeter to receive a pass and drive directly inside. She was able to finish through the defense multiple times while also looking unpluckable with her handles.
On the defensive end, Williams cemented herself as a solid post defender, especially in the second half. During three consecutive possessions, Williams recorded a block, a steal, and then another block.

before I saw her play in Bryant’s overtime win against Nettleton in November. After watching her post 26 points and 16 rebounds against an underrated 5A East school, I knew she belonged on the 2028 ranking.
Williams has been a double-double machine this season, dominating the glass and being tough to stop when she has it going in the paint. She scores multiple putbacks per game and the defense cannot keep her off the offensive glass. Williams uses her length and athleticism well, whether it is when she finishes against tough contests or when she plays on the other end.
Williams is not an easy player to score on. She has a long wingspan and swats shots away as soon as they go up. As just a freshman, she has established herself as a legitimate rim protector. A player being a 6A Central defensive anchor so early in her high school career is not something to ignore.
In addition to her strong defensive rebounding,

should be a nightmare matchup for her opponents for the next 3 1/2 years.
