Duplessy is a winner that’s shown she’s a true leader on the floor. One that can carry the heavy responsibilities on both sides of the ball. Her mature game makes it hard to believe she’s just a freshman. Look for Jaliah to have another great season to follow the championship.

Duplessy is formidable top-level talent that gives her team the edge. She’s a winner that makes the game easier for others too. The swaggering wing talent understands how to play and puts her squads in the best position for success throughout the entirety of the game. She doesn’t hold back, coming full force on unworthy defenders that’re attempting to contain her. Her stable attributes allow her to provide a sense of poise when she’s on the floor. Jaliah isn’t just an offensive threat though; her competitiveness is illuminated on the other side of the ball as well. She makes it tough for players on the perimeter to get a groove. Jaliah is listed as the # 3 ranked player in the class.

Another championship player mentioned here, Duplessy was phenomenal for an extremely young Brimmer team. She was relied upon heavily to provide 2-way production night in and night out. She’s an unforgiving talent attacking the basket, plus she has a nice pullup jumper that gets great lift, so defenders can’t affect the ball. The defensive ability should be noted as well. Jaliah slides her feet well and also closes the gap conscientiously. Playing with a stately Team Sims squad, Duplessy will be interesting to keep following through the rest of Spring/Summer.

Duplessy has been on a roll this year. There’re not many 8th graders winning League MVP honors or taking home a championship this early in their career, but Jaliah is doing exactly this. For these reasons, she’s been heavily featured lately. The ’29 wing is an aggressive attacker with a lot of counters that make her tough to matchup with individually. She requires extra attention and that just opens up things for teammates through the course of the game. The physicality played with make it hard to believe how young she is. This skilled labor naturally creates opportunities for shooters of any cutters getting to the basket. On the other side of the ball, she’s a fine player too. Her defense is immune to a lot of moves in the lane; she just soaks up the contact and is able to make plays on the ball as she slows drivers down. The Brimmer wing also does a good job at staying attached to the hip. Altogether, there’s not much more to ask from the young bubbling star. She’s the #3 ranked player in the class.
