About Jaloni
Expert Analysis
Neam Baattai | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Jaloni didn’t have as big of a scoring night against Elizabeth Seton on Saturday as she did against Bishop Ireton the day prior, but she still had an outstanding game. Jaloni’s athleticism and vision were on display all game, and she could have dominated this game without taking a shot. Jaloni finished with 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 11 assists in a comfortable 18-point win for Montverde. Jaloni was, of course, named the player of this game and showed why she is as good as any guard in the country.

Jaloni Cambridge was the most impressive player on the day, and it shouldn’t be much of a surprise. Jaloni is one of the best players in the country, and she showed why all game. She was committed to getting to the rim and had tough finishes all game. Montverde loves playing with pace, and part of why they’re so good at it is because of the ball handling, speed, and vision of Jaloni Cambridge. Her passing when she got downhill was impressive, and the ball never really stuck to her hands. It always found the open players’ hands, and the efficiency of this offense ran through her. Jaloni had a couple of plays that were huge in Montverde keeping their padded lead. She hit a deep three at the end of the first quarter and had a tough and 1 early in the 3rd—a fantastic performance from a great player.
