The lefty is shifty downhill, working to get to her strong hand. Speaking of strong, Jamyia has a sturdy frame with wide shoulders able to play physical when pinballing to the rim. She can be a foul magnet on drives but is also a heady passer, smartly working the baseline to shovel in assists to bigs in front of the rim.

Britt Basketball Academy 17U’s weekend in Guntersville got started on the right pair of sneakers thanks to its 5A Newnan connection. Georgia helped her Georgia-based travel team to an early morning victory over Alabama-based TAC Elite 17U. George understands how to handle the ball with either hand and will utilize her veteran instincts to find an attacking lane to the rim even if there seemingly may not be one. Connecting on floaters and making tough shots are elements to her offensive repertoire. George played in 29 of the Cougars’ 30 games this past season and averaged 10.1 points, five rebounds, 4.9 assists and 3.8 steals.

had a nice jab step move creating space and pulling up for the jumper. She was quick handling the ball pushing the tempo up the court. She had some nice dishes to her teammates under the basket as she attacked the open lane making defenders collapse around her, and she could make the full court pass with ease. She’s patient letting a lane open up for her to attack the basket and get some points. She did well going back up strong for the bucket off of offensive rebounds. She was so effective popping the ball out from her opponents as they tried to drive to the basket. She had some nice range on her shot, too, making it count from deep.

Quick and crafty, George gets into the lane for floaters and delivers well-timed passes to open teammates. Her low center of gravity helps her turn the corner and get downhill. The southpaw competes defensively, boxing out and applying steady on-ball pressure.
