Janaina Wess Janaina Wess 5'7" | SF Ocala Forest | 2026 State FL (cover photo) was the most energetic and exciting players to watching a basketball court. Her hustle and effort along caught my attention. Wess has speed, quickness, athleticism, and a motor that won’t stop. She impacts a lot of games with her effort and skillset. She leads her team in rebounds, steals, and blocked shots. She probably leads the district in saves and back -taps as well. In the District Semifinals, Wess was all over the boards in the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. Her ability to get to track the ball and get to it before anyone else was amazing. Her transition defense was equally amazing. Wess has the ability to dive for a ball, fall down, get back up, and chase chase the opponent down, and get back in front of the opponent to play defense. In addition to this type of effort, Wess can score the ball. She can get the rim in transition and take a defender off the dribble. She also did a good job of making timely cuts to the basket, receiving the pass, and scoring. The battle between Wess and Campos was epic and Wess definitely left a lasting impression.
