Mathis needs to be moved up after her performance, and I remember the first time I saw her time, I saw her via LIVESTREAM in high school; she showed me she had the tools, so I guess she has opened up the toolbox because yeah, she’s “long and athletic.” which is the base but watching her come from out of nowhere to rebound, play the passing lane or block shots was nice, so was her elevating over defenders both off the dribble and around the basket to score, plus her midrange was clicking

Mathis was initially seen by @playerrimidiesad wrote some “on the point” articles about what she brings to the table see evaluations here so I already had a feeling on what she brought to the table but her overpowering players off the dribble as well as around the basket told me the table hasn’t been set as her potential is scary

Mathis is a versatile player that can play inside and out. She has a solid frame and her strength is on display as she drives inside with the control and grit to take bumps and finish through the contact. She gets off the ground on her jump shot and can sit down and defend guards smaller than her.

Mathis’ strong court presence is on full display as she is a powerful force in transition. She pushes the ball out and uses her speed to blow past opponents, only to make a mean crossover at the three point arch to finish at the basket or draw a foul. She shoots with a high release and uses her size to dominate.
