Nivar is a physical guard who is not afraid of contact in the paint. She gets to the free throw line multiple times per game because of her quick first step and her aggressiveness on the floor. Nivar is an exceptional player who continues to improve.

has a smooth outside shot. She also attacks the rim multiple times per game. She has a great feel for the game and reads what the defense gives her in any situation. Nivar gives all she has on offense, and she is an aggressive defender as well. Nivar can fill up a box score. She will finish any game with stats in points, assists, rebounds, and steals for her squad.

Jasmine Nivar has been such a dynamic ball handler from the beginning of her playing days, and she is strong with the ball protecting every possession. She attacks the basket rolling the ball off her fingertips, or she finds the open space to show off her shot around the arc. Her IQ has always been ahead of her age knowing how to make her moves to create space or get an offensive play going.

had a strong high school season really stepping up for her team showing a lot of leadership handling the ball and making some smart shots. She knows how to find the openings and knock down shots from deep even with people closing out on her. She is quick with her decision making knowing when to explode up the court and hit her defender with a jump stop or take it all the way to the hoop. She jumps into passing lanes or strips the ball from her opponents grabbing the steal.

did a nice job seeing the court and knowing when to lay the ball up or use a jump stop in transition to score some points. She moves well with the ball attacking the basket scoring through transition making some old fashioned three point plays. Her ability to relocate and attack the gaps even without the ball made her a difficult player to guard.

Nivar is a sophomore that is playing a ridiculous level for the Apex Friendship High School Patriots. On the season, she is averaging 18.8 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 2.7 APG and 3.1 SPG. She is getting done all over the court and Tuesday night versus Middle Creek was no different. Against Middle Creek High School she put in 32 points on 60% shooting, she also dominated on the boards leading her team with 19 rebounds on the night and to top it all off, she chipped in 5 steals. She is definitely a name to continue to watch and if she is not on coaches radars right now, a few more performances like the one on Tuesday night and she will be.

showed off her ability to move quickly with the ball even throwing in a spin move to score some points on a fast break. She had a nice move to get by her opponent pulling up for the jumper and scoring an old fashioned three point play. She even grabbed her own miss at one point and put it back up for two points. Nivar showed her range shooting the ball from deep being able to score three that way. She is patient around the arc waiting for the right opportunity to drive it aggressively to the hoop. She did a nice job being ready for the ball to come her way to be able to grab the steal. She took advantage of players bringing the ball down snagging it out of their hands for the steal. She even blocked some shots in the paint.

was bringing the ball up battling tough pressure at the Knightdale Preseason Jamboree. She grabbed steals on the other end to push the other direction and took care of business through contact. She snuck inside crashing boards to grab the rebound, and she used offensive boards for some putbacks. For her season opener, she dropped 27 points making sure there’s no drop off from a dominant season last year.
