Lackey had me going “whacky” at the Queen Of The South because she falls into that category many next-level coaches love, and that’s “big guards who can shoot.” see evalaution here. Yet, she was even better in my second sighting at the Peggy Whitley Classic, see evaluation here, because she took the game over down the stretch against one of the top teams in the state by not only dropping the jumper but also scring off the dribble, which kept the defender off balance and guessing.

Lackey first got my attention a few months ago at Queen Of The South, see evaluation here, and I always say that I love seeing players in different settings, so peep this. Not only is she “long and athletic” but she stands above “the magic number” and seeing her knock down midrange jumpers is a huge plus because “next level coaches” love seeing that. She also uses a deceptive first step to score off the dribble, body control was also nice

Lackey gave me a good look at a variety of things that she brings to the table, but let me start with her being a big guard; she stands above the magic number and is “long and athletic.” She created her shot under pressure and dropped the jumper while being defended, catch and shoot included. She also scored off the dribble and played solid defense
