Lewis is a tough guard on both ends of the floor and she made a lot of plays on both ends with tough rebounds, defense, and some physical drives to the basket. She did a great job attacking gaps on balance, withstanding bumps and contact, and either getting to the hoop or making good reads to kick the ball out. She had a few exceptional passes off her drives to teammates right by the hoop for assists and brought big energy to the floor for NW Blazers S40.

Lewis balanced scoring and distributing, racking up 18 total assists. She was a dual threat, keeping defenses guessing whether she’d score or dish to an open teammate. Her ability to break down defenses and make the right reads made her a key playmaker.

Jayda played behind an extremely talented backcourt last season, but the 2024-2025 season may allow Jayda to shine. She showed that she can play lockdown defense, facilitating the offense, and being able to find her shot opportunities and take advantage of them. Jayda may be in for a big senior year.

Lewis was a second-team all-league selection last season but she has all the tools to be a first-team selection this upcoming season. She contributed across the board for the Bulldogs, running the point, setting up teammates, playing tough defense, and showed some impressive scoring ability. She will be an even bigger part of the team this winter as Katie Fiso and Maya Davis have since graduated, leaving Lewis as one of the seniors primed to lead Garfield in quest of another 3A title.

Jayda will be surprising a lot of people next year, stepping into a more ball dominate guard role for Garfield. Lewis gets down hill nicely, being strong with the ball and not being afraid to go at defenders to get a bucket. She’ll likely be the facilitator for Garfield now that Fisco is graduated but Lewis is going to excel right from the jump and show that Garfield could go for a 4 peat.

A tough combo guard, Lewis plays a strong game, she’s quick and strong to loose balls and rebounds, can push the pace in transition, and does an excellent job distributing the ball with both the simple and more intricate passes. She does a good job keeping it simple with the dribble, making one or two good moves and getting north and south. She can finish with contact at the rim and is firmly a player to watch over the spring who should step into an even larger role next season with Garfield.

#9 – Jayda had a good off-season playing for Tree of Hope EYBL . She has some versatility in the back court and can score on all levels. She is a good defensive player and causes problems for opposing guards. She has that ability to create and get downhill as well as knocking down shots. A part of the three titles in a row for Garfield, she was a great compliment to Katie Fiso Katie Fiso 5'10" | PG Garfield | 2024 State WA in the backcourt as a complimentary scorer.
