Jayda Richardson Jayda Richardson 5'7" | PG Papillionla Vista | 2027 State NE has been the driving force at PLV High School over the past couple of years and I don’t expect that to change up over her final two seasons while she has the ball in her possession. Richardson is shifty but conservative. She is fairly skilled as a PG but she doesn’t let that overshadow the simplicity of the game. If she can simply beat you with one or two dribbles, ending the possession in a straight line finish, she will do so until you stop her. If you happen to cut her off, she can adapt with a quick counter and still get to her spots though. Richardson showed off her talents on the road this AAU season with her ETG program once again. If she continues to compete in high school ball how she did on the road as of most recent, then watch out because she is going to surprise a few before you know it.

Jayda Richardson Jayda Richardson 5'7" | PG Papillionla Vista | 2027 State NE will be the leader of PLV High School for another go-around this Winter as a junior. Richardson, a 5’7 PG, is shifty with great touch on the ball to create or finish throughout traffic. Once she gets into the teeth of the defense going down-hill, she is incredibly tough to stop from converting in one way or another. Her athletic ability for her size and active hands help her cause chaos defensively, usually leading to other opportunities on the other sides of the floor. J.R. is going to put up some stat-line this Winter. She will have possession most of the time and that is only going to help her produce more and more for her squad.

I expect Jayda Richardson Jayda Richardson 5'7" | PG Papillionla Vista | 2027 State NE to put up some noteworthy numbers over the next two years at the Varsity level, much like she already has in the recent past. Richardson has a super fast first step, she can lead her team with her passing ability or she can be her team’s main threat while trying to get to the bucket for some crafty finishes. Defensively, she is scrappy. One of the best out of the Class in causing chaos within the full and half courts. I’m not sure where Richardson will end up for collegiate ball but she should have options before her high school career comes to a close.

Jayda Richardson Jayda Richardson 5'7" | PG Papillionla Vista | 2027 State NE has stood out as one of the best players on her ETG Midwest Elite team this Spring. Richardson embodies what it means to be a PG. She has a handle, smarts, she controls the game, she understands situational play, and she can get her team a whole lot of buckets in a small amount of time. At this pace, Richardson could end her high school career as one of the best guards out of her Class. She has all the intangibles and she has shown her production. If she sticks with it, she is going to be a hot commodity to college recruiters all over the country.

What I love about Jayda Richardson Jayda Richardson 5'7" | PG Papillionla Vista | 2027 State NE ‘s game is that she EATS on the defensive side of the ball. Richardson is one of those prospects that just knows where the opponent wants to go with the rock. She does a fantastic job of jumping to the pass and anticipating what is about to happen next, usually leading to steals and easy buckets. In transition once one of these steals happens, Richardson gets down the floor in a short amount of time with her impressive speed from baseline-to-baseline, ending the play in an easy bucket for herself or a teammate up ahead. Don’t get me wrong, she is a threat offensively as well but I think she is going to make her money on the defensive side of the floor this Spring/Summer. If she can do that early on in the season, it’s going to be really hard to pull her off the floor when it matters the most.

Whenever we talk about PLV High School, we speak about their star PG but another player that has been stepping up consistently for this group is Guard, Jayda Richardson Jayda Richardson 5'7" | PG Papillionla Vista | 2027 State NE . Richardson is only a Freshman but she is the player that is going to be taking over after this season comes to an end and their main contributors graduate. From everything that I have seen so far, Richardson has a base to build on. She is solid but still very raw in a lot of aspects of the game but there are things that I do really like. She is someone that isn’t afraid of contact and she gets to the line, multiple times a game, usually making her attempts from the stripe. With anyone that is so young in their high school career, her progression will be the key but this season has been a good indication of what the future could hold for both Rasby individually and the PLV program as a whole.
