Akiem Bailum | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Representing 1A Division 1 Putnam County on this season’s Winners United 15U EYCL team, Baker was part of a War Eagles team that concluded this past season with a robust 21-3 record. Baker was one of several team captains during the high school season, a sign of the trust and confidence she has earned from many a coach. Getting herself in close proximity to the basket is one element of her game and another is what she gets accomplished as a playmaker in transition. Another attribute of hers that has earned her high praise from coaches is her ability to accept tough defensive assignments.

Baker is one of the better young guards in Georgia and her play this season put other schools on alert and also earned her a big bump in the new rankings for Georgia coming out in the near future. She plays with a lot of confidence as well she should. She already has a well developed offensive arsenal including a very impressive finishing package on the break at the rim. The footwork, patience, and body control Baker shows going over and around defenders is very rare for a freshman. She had total control of games throughout the season and her high school career is just getting started. Baker could have easily been joined by her backcourt mate

Jaydah is one of the most gifted players in the 2029 class in GA. She’s one of the most acrobatic and creative finishing guards that hustles and has a lot in her bag. Her step through and hesi are incredibly tough to defend. JB can knock down the 3, move the bal welll, and can even get up and block shots on the other end.

Jaydah is one of those players that you just notice is special right away, especially when you realize how young she is. Her handles are tight, and her ability to change speed and also direction is at a high level for her age with a nasty hesi move in her bag. She had one of the biggest motors I saw this weekend and was all over the court with 110% effort on every play on both sides of the floor. Big upside with this Georgia guard who figures to be one of the top players in her class in the state.

Jaydah played up two levels with a really young group, but she stood out as the best player on her team all weekend long. Her high motor was incredible as she was absolutely everywhere on the floor at all times. She showed off some really nice handles and change of direction skills with the ball in her hands as one of the shiftiest dribblers at Peach Games. JB was a blur most of the time with her speed, but when you did see her, she was hitting a stepback three ball or flying into passing lanes on defense.
