Holmes shined in the 3-on-3 section of the day. She caught fire after she hit a jab step three in a defender’s face. She followed it up by taking advantage of a gambling defender and stepping in for a pull-up jumper, and she finished things with a catch-and-shoot three. Holmes is one of the hardest workers around and lives in the gym. If she didn’t, she probably wouldn’t have been willing to drive seven-plus hours to compete in this event. She is a high-IQ guard who gives her all in every aspect of the game, even setting some physical screens at just 5’4. If she keeps up this trajectory, she will be a player to monitor closely in Southern Oregon.
