Jayla also brings strong defensive energy. She can pressure the ball, jump passing lanes, and turn defense into offense. What stands out most is her maturity for a young guard — she competes with poise, plays under control, and looks comfortable in big moments.

Jayla Carmouche Jayla Carmouche 5'8" | CG Acadiana | 2029 State LA is a combo guard who plays for the Acadiana High School women’s basketball team, known as the Lady Rams. Jayla, a member of the class of 2029, currently wears jersey number 5. She is an exceptional player with remarkable scoring prowess, demonstrating proficiency at all three levels of the game. Her abilities include successfully making deep three-point shots, executing effective shake-and-bake moves, and scoring at the rim, averaging 15.5 points per game. Additionally, Jayla is an excellent passer, averaging 3.5 assists per game. She is also a formidable presence on defense, averaging 4.5 steals per game this season and contributing 2.5 rebounds, showcasing her dedication to protecting her team’s court. Jayla is recognized as one of the “BIG 3” freshman group in Acadiana, Louisiana, and was named to the All-District First Team for the 2025-2026 season.
