Jaylah Barber Jaylah Barber Jaylah Barber 5'5" | PG Bartlett | 2028 State TN , in her sophomore season, kept getting better.

Barber’s skills of being able to pick off passes that were present in her freshman season were brought forth in her sophomore season and then some. Barber’s straight-line speed helps her greatly in being a good steal threat.

Barber also improved her dribbling this season. She can accelerate down the floor and get past defenders on the dribble at a high-level. Also, when she gets to the basket, she is capable of scoring contested shots and through contact if need be.

Jaylah is one of the quickest guards that you will find. She led her team in numerous statistical categories during the shootout. Barber is a pest on defense and she will lock opponents up. She forced numerous turnovers. Offensively, she is going to get by you. She is the engine of her basketball team. She made sure to highlight her impact on the game and showcase her skills. She’s a good ball handler and she knows exactly how to penetrate the gaps and exploit defenses.

Rising sophomore Jaylah Barber Jaylah Barber Jaylah Barber 5'5" | PG Bartlett | 2028 State TN is a steal machine. In three contests last year, she had four or more steals for Bartlett High School against Arlington, Cordova, and Gibson County High School. Along with her defensive game, she has high-level skills on the offensive side of things.

She is quick, and that speed is maintained when she is on the dribble. This allows her to shoot gaps and attack any holes that the defense has. She also has above-average dribble moves. Paired with her speed, this is a deadly combo. Barber is also a great distributor; she can fire off quick passes as soon as her teammates break open.
