did well slowing down her opponents sliding in front of them on fast breaks to make sure they don’t have any easy points. This led to steals taking it out of the hands of her opponents, and she was up the court with the turnover finding ways to make the shot. She’s tough attacking the basket looking for some points.

If you watched Asheville School play you could see the chemistry between the twins of Janai and Jaza Wilson. Jaza played off of Jania and was a threat from the wing in all three games. She made explosive downhill drives to the bucket and used her quickness to get past her defender. She also showed that she can shoot the deep ball when needed. On the defensive side Wilson was solid and came up with several deflections and rebounds.

Jaza is a downhill driver that loves to attack the rim. She is explosive getting to the basket. She is a strong rebounder at the guard position and does not mind the physical contact. She will also get out and run on the wing that leads to transition layups. I am looking for her to have a big senior year at the Asheville School in Asheville, NC.

Wilson shoots the basketball well. She can also score in the open court, from the foul line, and make space for her jump shot in the paint. Wilson is a dynamic player who is willing to make the best play for her team. She will score or she will find her open teammates for easy looks. Wilson is an elite rebounder from the guard position. She also takes pride in her defense. Wilson plays hard at all times and has a high basketball IQ. She is prepared for a special senior season in Asheville.

has a pretty outside shot and a high release that is hard to guard. She is a talented player who can score in bunches for her squad. Wilson is able to play multiple positions on the court. She can shoot like a guard, and she can score with efficiency around the rim like a post player. At the end of any contest, Wilson will have recorded stats in points, rebounds, assists, and steals.

was all over the court getting inside for rebounds and handling the ball up the court. She fought hard for offensive boards using them for second chance points. Her quick close out was an asset on defense being able to get her hands in the face of her opponents preventing them from getting a clean shot. She was hustling after every loose ball.

Jaza Wilson spent the summer showing just how tough she is on both ends of the court. She’s a three level scorer attacking the basket and protecting the ball as she drives to the hoop. Her ability to knock down her shots from deep shows how versatile she is. She’s aggressive on defense, too, being able to guard post players making them work for their space as well as staying with guards trying to make a move around the perimeter.

She got inside battling through contact to bank some points off the glass, and she sealed off opponents making it easy to get the entry pass to her. She made some smart plays down the stretch taking care of each possession in a close game.
