Coming off a very impressive sophomore season with Lamar which saw Foster win Player of the Year in A-D1 Region Four, the very talented prospect also eclipsed 1,000 points scored for her career. I have seen her training a few times at Pitts Academy and know that she is a very hard worker who has a lot of skill for someone her size. She finished GBCA Live averaging just over 14 points a game while leading her team to a very impressive 3-1 record. The sole loss came against the Canon School from North Carolina featuring Jakaila Gaskins who is ranked number 26 in the ESPN SportsCenter NEXT 2028 list. Foster had a very good showing finishing the game with 14 points with all of her field goals coming in the second half. In the first half she went to the free throw line and shot the ball six times making four and would return to the line another 3 times for six more shots in the second half. When she wasn’t fouled she did a nice job scoring the ball inside converting five field goals. She is a player whose stock is definitely on the rise after seeing her up close and personal over the course of three days.

Ja’Ziyah is a player I saw a few times on the AAU circuit last Summer and was immediately impressed with the fluid movement she showed at her size. She is not just blessed with physical tools however, Foster produced at a very high level for one of the very best teams in A-D1 all season long. She finished the season averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds as just a sophomore. while leading Lamar County to a 24-6 record. Her cumulative totals for the season, 540 points and 303 rebounds, were outstanding and are comparable to the top post players in the state. I expect Foster to have an very impressive Spring and Summer on the travel ball circuit before coming back to Georgia with multiple offers, a handful of division one offers, before she starts her junior season.

Foster’s length and skill set made it tough for her to be guarded. She was one of the bigger players in the gym and made a living by scoring at the rim. Soft touch and ability to catch it high and finish.
