I feel like with Hooks, you can put her anywhere on the floor and she’ll find a way to make an impact. Jazmyn has a nice, strong build and can handle the ball well enough to get you into your offense and can also play off the ball and hurt you from the outside with her shooting ability. When you have a tough-nosed player who defends, rebounds and checks all the boxes, you can’t go wrong. Hooks’ willingness to give up a good shot for a better shot shows how unselfish she is, which is commendable when a lot players think scoring is the only way to make an impact. We don’t know what’s in the cards for Hooks at Eden Prairie this season, but I know she’ll be ready when her number is called.

Jazmyn is somewhat of a positionless basketball prospect, because she does several things fairly well. She can act as a point forward, push the ball in transition, and even initiate the offense in the half-court. She has some touch from around the perimeter and can run off screens like a shooting guard. She can also use her strong, physical, athletic frame to get into the mid-post, attack the basket, or collect rebounds. She will bring a lot of value to whatever team(s) she is on.
