Mitchell falls into another category I love using “her ceiling has no roof” and watching her elevate and drop turnaround jumpers earlier this season, forget blocking it, to dropping at least 4 from deep early, she was a nightmare to defend. On the flip, her “on the ball” pressure and playing the passing lane was nice

#1 Up from #2
Mitchell has gotten longer and taller and watching her turnaround jumper that ain’t nobody in high school gonna block, I left shaking my head. She elevates not only on her jumper but around the basket to score, plus her timing to block shots looks better, and so does her defense

Mitchell could eventually be the top player in Texas because she’s around that magic number, which is 6’0 and is “long and athletic” yet her intangibles are what adds fuel to the fire. I had heard about her from a parent catching her on Livestream with her club team yet my initial sighting saw her going after rebounds RELENTLESSLY which I call AFTA, left me speechless. Her college ready frame and ability to score around the basket was a plus, so was her mid to long-range jumper as well as scoring off the dribble

Mitchell passes the eye test off the top because she’s at “the magic number” and is “long and athletic” yet the intangibles that she is already bringing to the table will have a FEAST of next level coaches offering her an opportunity to play at the next level. Her being a #D1Lock was apparent when I first saw her at the Girl’s TABC Showcase yet her “poise under pressure” in her freshman season is something you just can’t teach. She has timing and block, alters and deflects shots but her leaping ability has her grab rebounds on both ends with ease. She finishes strongly and acrobatically at times off the dribble yet her jumper is nice, so is her defense

Mitchell bedazzled me the first time I saw her and I was scratching my head on how I missed her. Well she’s a move in from Arizona and she quickly showed me a variety of furnishings she brought with her. Let me start with she’s “long and athletic” which will always be the base, yet watching her maturity on the court against older players coupled with going after everything off the rim gets her the #THROWBACK. Her first step can be devastating as she elevates over the defender to finish off the dribble yet her UPS also helps as she drops the jumper. She plays the passing lane and also does a good job defensively
