About Jenna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

-Combo Guard that can play 1 or 2 -Elite Ball Handler! -Excellent Shooter from Mid-Range & 3pt Line. -Excel at making ball screen reads. -Look to push the ball in transition using court vision and accurate passing. -My length allows me to get deflections on defense and guard multiple positions.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

-I am a Team First player. -I’m competitive and work hard, with a goal to be the most SKILLED player on the court. This includes hours each week of individual training/practice improving my handles/footwork/shot. -I take pride in playing for the “2029 Michigan Mystics Select (S40)”

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

-I was elected to Student Council for the 2025-26 school year. -I received 4 awards. This includes: -Outstanding Academic Achievement Award -Honor Roll -Spanish Award -Citizenship Award

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

-I volunteer time working with elementary students in my schools’ basketball program. -I have helped train younger players at OtterBasketball “Junior Elite Camps.” -I have assisted with Upward Basketball.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

-Yes. It is a challenge to balance school/academics, family & friends, athletics, and time for individual training. -My Mystics Select Team has played at least 3 weekends a month during the winter & spring/summer. We travel throughout Michigan and out of state regularly. This includes Select 40 events. -It’s been tough but I have become more organized and learned to prioritize my many tasks.

What type of college are you looking for?

-My goal is to play at the Division 1 or 2 level. I would prefer schools that have a strong education/kinesiology programs.

Jenna is a freshman who will be breathing new life into the Bay City Western program this winter as they look to turn the tide in the competitive SVL North Division. I’ve seen Jenna compete several times now at showcases, elite camps, and travel tourneys. She has advanced ball-handling control and combination dribbles for her age. Jenna keeps defenders on their heels and fires passes on a rope to open teammates. She finishes effectively with both hands and has skilled footwork around the basket. Jenna put on a clinic during the finishing drills. She handled the ball with poise for Team Liberty and stretched the defense with her perimeter shooting. Jenna will be a prospect to follow closely this winter, and she had a solid day at the Headliners Invitational.
