Jha’Ziya is probably the best freshman I’ve seen so far, and it’s easy to see why she’s playing up at 17U—there’s not much she can’t do with the basketball. She has a quick, decisive jab step and a tight crossover that consistently gets defenders off balance, allowing her to score at all three levels.
Defensively, she brings that same intensity, applying constant pressure and staying in her opponent’s space on every dribble—very similar to Hannah Hidalgo. With her skill set, confidence, and two-way impact, Jha’Ziya is already ahead of the curve.

Had a breakout freshman campaign and played at an elite level all season. Already a young team she was able to carry the team with some high level performances. Elite ball handler even at her size can finish at the rim at an elite level! The only freshman ranked in the top ten that was able to bring home a state title!
