has a nice finesse with the ball being able to evaluate what her opponents are giving her and going to work. She can knock down her shot from deep no matter what hands are in her face, and she’s tough on defense being able to guard her opponents on the block. She has a high motor and is always moving on the court to be valuable to her team.

continues to add to her arsenal. She isn’t afraid to put her body on someone whether she is boxing out for the rebound or she is protecting the possession when she’s handling the ball under pressure. She can certainly score at the rim, and she continues to show her range shooting the ball. Her ability to constantly move on the court and use her speed to score on offense and protect the basket on defense is going to serve her well at the next level.

Prior to the start of the season, we got a commitment announcement from Winston Salem Christian’s star guard. Grier will be playing her collegiate basketball with Boston College in the ACC. Grier resembled a Division I prospect on Saturday when her Winston Salem Christian team matched up against South Carolina-based Legion Collegiate. Grier tallied 27 points to lead all scorers. The Lancers defense had no answers for Grier’s ability to attack the rim and there was also little it could do about Grier’s accuracy from behind the 3-point line. Speed, quickness and transition basketball are other reasons that made her appear on Boston College’s radar.

Grier is a well-rounded player who can dominate both offensively and defensively. On offense, she handles the basketball well and can score from anywhere on the court. Additionally, Grier possesses excellent court vision, allowing her to draw multiple defenders and make effective passes. Defensively, she uses her length to create steals and score quickly in transition for her team.

Jocelyne Grier did a nice job keeping her head on a swivel on defense knowing how to slide into help and keep her opponent within reach. She was versatile guarding post players on the block or keeping up with guards around the perimeter. She has a nice shot from deep showing off an exceptional arch where opponents have no chance of blocking it. She knows when to turn on the intensity hitting back to back three pointers and grabbing some steals to elevate her team over their opponents.

Jocelyne Grier is so quick with the ball pushing it up the court and making decisions before her defenders can make adjustments. She explodes to the basket handling the ball through contact with ease, and she can certainly pull up for her shot from deep making it quicker than an opponent can close out. She even got inside to grab rebounds extending offensive possessions for her team.

Jocelyne Grier is so strong taking the ball to the rim taking it coast to coast with ease. She sees the floor well being able to make the long pass to her teammates up the court for some fast break points. She showed off her range shooting the ball from around the perimeter, too. She got her hands in the way on defense, too, grabbing the steal and knowing exactly where to get the ball for an offensive play.

Jocelyne Grier is lethal on the court with her ability to use both hands and finish on both sides of the rim. She gets to the basket with speed blowing by her defenders, and she can do this full court after jumping in the passing lane grabbing the steal. Her quickness also means she’s got a stellar jump stop creating the space she needs for her shot that she can pull up and drain from anywhere on the court. Her hesitation moves are fun to watch, too, as they are perfectly timed for her to score some points.

was attacking the basket making her opponents foul her to earn some points at the free throw line. She had a solo fast break off a steal that she pushed right up the court. She’s versatile at the guard position being able to handle the ball running point or sliding over into the shooting guard position knowing how to execute plays with her effective cuts and timing.

has been doing really well this season throwing the ball up longer distances and hitting their targets whether she is knocking down her shot from around the arc or she is getting a pass up the court to a teammate for some fast break points. She sees the floor well knowing how to make the perfect entry pass on the block, and she moves well without the ball losing the defense to get the open look. She’s quick with ball fakes even running full speed to create her own space to attack the basket.
