of Pleasantville High School is one of the hardest workers in the 2025 Class as it pertains to this sport. She is a 5’8 SG, that has had the duty of carrying her high school program for the past 3.5 years. It’s not so easy when you have to do a little bit of everything, while being the main producer offensively for your squad. It can take a lot out of you but Johnson has always done of great job of giving her best effort. Throughout these past few days, Johnson recorded her best career game to date, scoring 40 points and hitting a school record 7 three pointers. If there is a college coach out there that is looking for someone in the 2025 Class with a ton of heart, dedication, and situational awareness, Johnson might be that player for you. She obviously can play a little bit so now it’s all about getting a chance.

of the 2025 Class in Iowa is one of the hardest working and most dedicated prospects that I’ve had a chance of evaluating the past couple of years at the high school level. Johnson competes with a smaller 2A team in Iowa for Varsity ball so that explains as to why she puts up so many shots and such bigger offensive numbers. Don’t be mistaken though, she is someone that could adjust to be a vital part of any collegiate team that she could get a shot to compete with. She is smart enough to understands her strengths and to know that when she has talented prospects on the floor around her, that it’s a team game and that is what is going to bring everyone the most success. Last year as a Junior she averaged over 21 PPG and I expect those type of numbers once again, over these next twelve months to cap off her high school career at Pleasantville.

is a prospect that is the definition of someone who has made a case for themselves on any court they have been competing on since she was a Freshman at Pleasantville High School. Johnson’s progression over the past three years has been impressive. She has slowly learned the game of basketball more and more from a tactical perspective, while expanding her game to being pretty solid at overall everything on the floor. Moving into this Senior season, Johnson is going to have a really good shot at putting up some big time numbers across the state in a couple different positive statistical categories and I hope it doesn’t stop there. This is someone that could bring a lot of positives to a college roster at the end of the day. She is more determined than most I’ve seen from this 2025 Class with how much she works to be the best version of herself and in the long run, that’s going to help her not only in the game of basketball but also in the game of life.

of Pleasantville High School. Johnson is a solid prospect, a great listener, someone that truly leaves it all on the floor, and she could turn out to be special at the collegiate level on day. The only problem that Johnson suffers from is that her small high school team needs her to shoot almost every other shot so her percentages can be rough at times when she is trying to Will her team to a victory. This is something you can’t fault Johnson for but it is something that recruiters notice. If someone gave Johnson a chance, they wouldn’t regret it. She is delight to be around and someone that might have it click one day and then things will be really scary for anyone else trying to matchup across from her.

is one of the hardest working and most skilled players out of this 2025 Class but I also think that efficiency matters to a certain extent and has to be taken into consideration. It’s no secret that Johnson can hoop. She is very skilled in the offensive side of the game, while having a very bright head on her shoulders. In the situation she is in, she has to put up a bunch of attempts for her high school team to win games, which somewhat brings down her efficiency. Now I know what you are thinking, how is that her fault? It’s not but we need to have a healthy medium. A college coach is going to look at the numbers and ask questions about how she will play when she has other playmakers around her at the next level. I personally believe with Johnson in the right system, she could be an efficient playmaker who could help you out in big moments. Something she has shown glimpses of over the past 2.5 years at the high school level more then a few times.

is looking to have a great season as a junior at Pleasantville High School. She is the type of player that flat out works extremally hard. Additionally, every teams needs a caliber player in their program who is willing to do what is needed to win. Joelle is that player! She’s fundamentally sound boxing out and rebounding the biggest and strongest players. She plays physical and understands this is a contact sport. I’m excited to see her hard work pay off this high school season.
