About Jordyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a high energy guard and I’m always talking. On the court, on the bench, in warmups, in practice, it doesn’t matter, I’m loud and locked in. I call things out on defense, hype my teammates, and keep our energy up. Even when I’m not playing, I’m still impacting the game because I’m communicating the whole time. That’s just the way I play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m competitive, calm, and focused. I work hard, I stay coachable, and I don’t make excuses. I do make mistakes, but I learn from them and keep moving. I bring good energy, I push myself and the people around me, and I show up the same way every day.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m not in any clubs or organizations right now, and I haven’t received any non‑sport awards. My focus has mainly been on basketball and improving my game.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve built a lot of leadership and teamwork skills just from being on the court. I communicate, I stay calm, and I help keep everyone locked in. I’m reliable and coachable, and people know they can count on me. I’ve learned how to handle responsibility, adjust when things change, and keep pushing even when I make mistakes.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve definitely faced challenges. I transferred through three programs in four years, and every time I had to adjust to new coaches, new teammates, and a whole new environment. It wasn’t easy, but it taught me how to stay focused, stay coachable, and keep my confidence no matter where I was. I learned how to adapt fast, handle pressure, and keep working even when things changed around me.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that’s far from home and gives me a fresh start. I want a school with a good engineering program, but if I really connect with the coaching staff and feel like the program fits me, I’m fine majoring in Management to help with my coaching career. I’m open to going as far as possible, and I want a place that feels like family on and off the court.
