About Josie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I usually defend the #1 guard or point scorer on the defensive side. Offensively I read defenses and player tendencies to create plays for my shooters and bigs in the middle, often lead team in assists, usually come out of tournaments with the team leading +- rating. Always hustle on both sides of the ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm the youngest of 4 athletic girls in the family, and have been playing competitive sports since very young. My numerous coaches have described my as extremely coachable, very hard worker, and a great teammate with a strong will to put team over individual accolades to win. My training does not stop when practice stops. I also do strength training and private training on the side.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership have been developed since an early age through multiple club and school sports. My work ethic, perseverance, and dedication has been instilled in me from my family.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Many small challenges both mentally and physically that I have found ways to overcome, making me a stronger competitor in the long run.

What type of college are you looking for?

D2 or D3 college of decent size with a need for my skillset on the court. I am unsure of an area of study as of yet, but obviously that will be a factor when the time comes as well.
