Last night Josie Kuper Josie Kuper 6'2" | C AGWSR | 2025 IA put together one of the best stat lines of the high school season throughout the state, as well as one of the best stat lines of her basketball career so far. In a 55-22 win, Kuper recorded 32 points (14-18), 12 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 4 steals. In this battle there was no one that could match with the inside presence of Kuper in the middle. She was too big, too strong, and too good for everyone that came into her way. It’ll be exciting to see the progress of Kuper over the next few years at Simpson. If she works on the right things and takes it seriously, she could be a real weapon at that next level with her natural height.

I mentioned as early as last week that Josie Kuper Josie Kuper 6'2" | C AGWSR | 2025 IA of AGWSR High School was a solid collegiate player, that could definitely bring some positives to the floor in the future and not even a week later she committed to Simpson College. I started this article saying that Simpson is swooping up recruits out of Iowa, left and right, this being another great example. Kuper might not be a Day 1 starter when she gets on campus but she is going to be able to grow her game and take it to another level with four more years of training on the correct things. When she looks back to her Basketball journey, she should be proud of where it has taken her. She kept her eyes on the prize and it’s all worked out because of it.

To understand the 2025 Class throughout Iowa, is to understand that this is the one of the deepest Classes that this state has had to offer throughout the past 10-20 years. There are considerably over 100 SOLID prospects, ranging at all sizes and positions across the state. Someone that I’ve seen with a lot of promise from this past year on the AAU scene is 6’2 Center, Josie Kuper Josie Kuper 6'2" | C AGWSR | 2025 IA of AGWSR High School. In my opinion, Kuper could be a collegiate level prospect with her size and situational awareness of the game. One of the best attributes she possesses, is that she understands ball. She understands the X’s and O’s, where she needs to be at all times, where she succeeds best, and what helps her team the most in the long run. Being self-aware is something that many don’t understand during high school and when you pair that with natural size, touch, and a solid motor, you get someone who can produce. Now, is she a Day 1 starter in college? I’m not sure. That would all depend on where she might end up and her personal fit at that location but if all of that lines up, she could definitely make some things happen down the road. For now though, she will lock into her upcoming Senior season with her AGWSR program!

Josie Kuper Josie Kuper 6'2" | C AGWSR | 2025 IA has been a name we have heard about here and there the past could of years on the Varsity floor for AGWSR High School and Iowa Prep AAU. Kuper is someone that rovers around the block area, bringing in most rebounds and putting in a bunch of put backs more times than not. Kuper is still uncommitted with some D3 looks at this point in her journey. She will lock in for a big month of July these next few weeks, then I’m sure she will take some visits to see what fit seems best during the Fall before she takes the floor as a Senior.
