About Kailey
Expert Analysis
Sam Duren | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Brown was part of a dominant one-two offensive punch for a Saturday afternoon win for Team Oklahoma Grey. She’s a wing who excelled at scoring from 15 feet and in. Hitting in the mid-range, or getting all the way to the rim. Even scoring a nifty reverse layup, while also producing some second chance points. Like the attack mode mentality and skillset she brings with good size for the next level.

As Team Griffin merges into the new Legynds squad, wherever Kailey plays this summer will be lucky. Summit Christian sits a few games under the .500 mark for the year, and has a tough District to deal with. They will have to beat either Porter or Wesleyan Christian just to make it to Regionals, but might suprise some people. Kailey had a big showing in our Oklahoma Expo in the preseaosn.

Tall guard/forward. Spot up shooter. Blocks out well. Good roller, with good pick and roll instincts in general. Didn’t finish inside at a high clip on Saturday, looked more comfortable around the arc. Runs the floor and gets to corners well. So many of Saturday’s players were able to just get to the basket on secondary breaks, but in a more structured setting, Kailey would have been making people pay from the corners much more often.

Kailey has transferred to Summit Christian Academy this season. At 6’0 Kailey brings versatility to the Lady Eagles team. She can play the 3-5 position on offense and does an excellent job defending the paint on defense. An effective shooter from the high post area that can also make great passes from the area as well. Good hands in the post area with a nice effective over the left shoulder move. Kailey should have an immediate impact on filling the scoring needed by the Lady Eagles after losing last year MVP to the college level.
