Patzel is a 5’10 PF, that is currently grabbing just under 17.5 RPG. Let’s say that again. 17.5 Rebounds Per Game for her squad. When this team competes, Patzel has a major hand in it on both offense and defense. She is a hard working individual with a high motor and a calculated aggressive demeanor whenever she laces up her kicks and we see that first hand every night. I don’t know if Patzel will be able to keep this type of production up all Winter long but if so, it’ll be a conversation come Playoff time. That’s for sure.

This isn’t the biggest sample size but whenever a player is bringing in 18.9 RPG over five games, it’s eye-opening. Not only is Patzel holding it down with the boards on both ends, she is also scoring at a high rate as well while averaging just under 15 PPG. If Patzel can keep up these numbers for the rest of the year, it will be an accomplishment she should be really proud of. It should be noted that she is only a 5’10 PF, playing undersized at her position so that she averages something along these lines not only takes skill but heart and a motor.
