Speedy junior, who looks to attack the rim. Drives with a purpose. Either getting to the rim herself, or force the defense to collapse. Leading to good passes to open teammates. Brings a similar energy to the defensive end. Looks like a good change of pace guard, brining the energy for a promising Lady Rams squad.

Johnson is an athletic guard who brought heat on both ends and her defensive pressure, “on the ball” in the set as well as full-court, immediately grabbed my attention. She does a good job attacking the basket to score or dish, her court vision across the board looked good, and she saw the floor across the board

The combo guard plays with some grit to her game. A shooting guard that has nice shooting mechanics. Feet and hands ready with a nice follow through to the rim. Good handles that can take the physical hand checking while still limiting the turnovers. In transition she has eyes up and made several up the court passes for layups.

Good lateral defense that guides the ball handler towards the baseline cutting it off with a good angle. Understands zone press defense rotation as she played the second line of the 2-2-1 press stealing the ball leading to points of turnovers.

Johnson has been a continuous stock riser on this year’s PGH circuit season. Consistently finds her way inside, using a strong upper body and composure to finish over length. She’s especially effective with a soft floater and a dependable left hand that gives defenders problems in the lane.

Johnson uses great strength to power her way to the basket and finish through contact with authority. Defensively, she’s disruptive in the passing lanes, turning anticipation into easy transition opportunities.
