Harris helped the Thoroughbreds of 4A South Aiken to its first winning campaign since the 2018-19 season that saw the T-breds put together a 15-9 season. She was the only name from South Aiken to receive an invite to this year’s SCBCA Elite Camp. Harris was one of two eighth graders on last season’s Thoroughbreds team and competed in 19 of the team’s 24 contests last season. She led the team in scoring and rebounding last season and nearly averaged a double-double. Harris scored 11.3 points, brought down 9.2 rebounds and collected 2.9 steals per contest throughout 2025-26. South Aiken is poised to continue its positive trajectory with Harris returning for her freshman season.

This kid was a pure athlete that looked like she was floating up and down the court at ease. Kaleigh had a sick up and under move that caught many defenders by surprise. Her explosiveness to the rim off the dribble on her moves was impressive. She was active and quick off her feet around the rim on offense and defense. She got a few blocks and nice rebounds by having good length, excellent timing and leaping ability.

A young nucleus appears to be taking shape at 4A South Aiken and it enabled the Thoroughbreds to put together its first season with a winning record since the 2018-19 campaign. Harris was one of two eighth graders that were part of last season’s T-breds team that concluded its 2025-26 season with a 14-10 record. She played in 19 of South Aiken’s 24 games last season and averaged 11.3 points to lead the team in scoring. Harris nearly averaged a double-double as she also led the T-breds with 9.2 rebounds per contest in addition to the 2.9 steals she averaged (also a team-leading statistic).
