Simmie Colson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
#68 (Up from #91)
Buffin has shown she can score multiple ways and is one of the best guards in Texas who can do that, while being pressured. She loves and wants the ball in crunch time, yet her delivering in the clutch is something to see see evaluations here

Buffin changed her hairstyle and had me off balance trying to figure out who she was yet I recovered by looking at the roster and smiling as she made the All-Showcase team see evaluation here

Buffin set it off for me on the PGH Circuit this season and was immediately added to the Top 100 plus so she gave me more of what I already had seen, and then some. Her court vision across the board was solid, as was her “stop and pop” in transition yet her crossover while going full speed created some problems for defenders. Her “on the ball” defense created some turnovers but watch playing the passing lane also had the ball going the other way

Buffin has the right last name as she was buffin’ the ball off the glass whether attacking or dropping the banker yet she’s an athletic guard who uses her athleticism on both ends and she doesn’t have ordinary athleticism. Her finishes are acrobatic at times, yes after contact but she also applies heat “on the ball” baseline as well as dives for loose balls. Her mid to long-range is solid, so is her court vision

Buffin showed me she could drop the jumper at last season’s Neville Jones Invitational and I also mentioned her body control after contact yet she gave me even more because her “stop and pop” in transition dropped the mic, well also dropped the ball through the nets yet she used her athleticism on both ends and her “on the ball” pressure helped to create turnovers. She did a good job rebounding, as well as seeing the floor yet when she changed hands in mid air to score after contact, I guess she picked the mic up and dropped it again
