When you get knocked down there’s a decision to be made, get back up, or stay down. Kam went down hard in a game and showed real toughness by checking back in afterwards, then buried a triple from the slot and the corner. She kept the positive momentum going in the second game, swishing threes from the corner and the slot. Kam catches with her feet set, balanced, and ready to fire. She anticipated a dribble drive, moved quickly to cut it off, reached in to poke the ball away, pushed it up the court, got the defender on her hip, then finished the contested layup with her left at full speed for the and-one. Kam finished well at the rim in traffic and had a great day for Meridian at the Au Sable Shootout.

Kameryn is a versatile guard/wing combo who stood out for Sanford Meridien at the Au Sable Shootout. She’s a confident shooter who is always ready to let it fly from beyond the arc. Kameryn knocked down a corner three, and her aggressiveness led to many buckets in the paint. Kameryn scored an offensive rebound put back, added a layup in transition, and won the battle for an offensive rebound to score a put back. She split defenders with a quick dribble and dropped in a soft floater off two feet. Kameryn made a great decision to seal her defender after making a basket cut, pivoted to get the edge, and finished the contested layup off two feet.

Fillmore was a tough player on both offense and defense at The Bump. She is an intense defender who causes havoc for her opponents. She aggressively attacks the boards from her guard position. Fillmore was driving hard to the basket, finishing through contact, and also made a few shots from behind the arc. I’m looking forward to watching Kameryn more this summer.
