Kasner was recently highlighted by us because she recorded her 500th Varsity Rebound in her efforts earlier on this season. Following this event, Kasner has kept steady with her production and continued to do what she can on both ends of the floor. She has been dominating the paint around on the boards, coming from help side to guard between-the-blocks when something might break down, and she is communicating at a higher rate than most. All of these things are positives and would translate to the next level. That’s for sure.

Skutt Catholic has yet again started off their Varsity season with a bang, winning a lot of their contests so far, including Nike TOC in AZ and a recent holiday tournament this past week. Kasner just recorded her 500th rebound of her Varsity career, showing everyone watching that she is a hard worker, a skilled rebounder off of a missed shot attempt, and that she never gives up on a play. A big key to rebounding is Will and Kasner has that. I’m not sure when Skutt’s toughest test will be this Winter but on this pace, they are going to like how things play out the rest of this season.

In a program that always has star prospects, Kasner is someone that could come in and play a pivotal role for her team, in some small ways. It may be a handful of rebounds, it may be some big assists or stops on defense, it really just depends on what her team needs of her. She may not kill you in the scoring category each contest and that’s true but if you don’t pay attention to her, she could have a sneaky good stat line by the end of the game. It’ll all depend how she is used but I’m excited to see what she can do this upcoming Winter.
