I first caught Smith in action in the Fall and PGH Simmie Colson has seen her a few times since (read evaluations here). Smith can flat out go! Her speed and finesse finishes around the basket will make you take a double take. On the other side of the ball, her defense is just as intense! Smith’s stock will only continue to rise.

Smith conttinues to elevate her game and seeing her “on the court” progression has been a treat for me to watch and here’s the deal. Yeah, she understood early she could give defenders fits yet what she has done is learned how to think the game to become a more complete player so accelerating in the open court as well as in the set to score is still there, so is her jumper with a hand in her face see evaluations here

Smith also gave me an eyeful last season at this event, see evaluation here, and seeing her not only blow by defenders in the set, but she turned the turbo on in the open court in transition. Her poise under pressure is a plus, so is her court vision, but she uses her athleticism wisely, and the heat she applies “on the ball” was nice

Smith is a solid guard that can do a little bit of everything. Speed and athleticism are one thing, but Smith has the control to sprint down with the ball and stop on the drop of a dime for a pull up jumper. She uses acrobatics to finish at the rim and is not afraid of contact. She plays well off the ball by sprinting the floor and finding open space to spot up.

Smith had shown me how effective her first step was, yet her explosiveness in the open and half-court was impressive as she blows by defenders to score or dish. Her court vision across the board is solid but when you add she can drop the jumper, this includes the “stop and pop” and applies heat defensively, her upside is good

Smith gave me the razzle-dazzle I needed to keep my adrenaline going and her fearless mindset playing against one of the top 6A squads in the area falls into the “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against” theory that hardly anyone gets. Her first step is nice as it helped her attack and score, but her jumper and court vision looked good. She also played solid defense but watching her play the passing lane JUST DID IT for me

Smith is on to something and is showing she’ll be in the mix for that 2028 group soon. She’s an athletic guard who brings heat on both ends, be it defensively to apply pressure which helps to create turnovers, or attacking the basket strongly and finishing after the lick. Her pull-up jumper was also nice

Smith is an outright athlete, plunging to the pavement for the loose ball, and constant communication in keeping the offense moving. This freshman has the potential to become an all-star defender.

Smith is an athletic guard who uses her athleticism on both ends of the court. Her “on the ball” pressure helped create turnovers yet her attacking the basket strongly and finishing after contact was nice, body control played a part in that. She’s another #sizedontmatter player and her stop-and-pop jumper was solid, she also saw the floor and made tough passes look easy and she played the passing lane
