During AAU season, Karrington Asp Karrington Asp 6'2" | PF Western Dubuque | 2025 State IA of Western Dubuque High School competed on the UAA Circuit in Minnesota and showed everyone watching that she is a dominant force inside the lane and near the basket. Asp competes as a 6’2 PF and she demonstrates coordination, balance, a soft touch on the ball, and a high level of knowledge of situational awareness. When she has her back to the basket, she can go through someone or she can hit them with a counter move for an easier look. When she is 15FT out, she can square up and line up a simple jumpers. While on the outside, she can screen, seal, and get to the bucket at Will most of the time. All in all, she is a force to deal with and that will be on full display with Winter.

You may not have heard of Karrington Asp Karrington Asp 6'2" | PF Western Dubuque | 2025 State IA too much this AAU season because she is competing out of Minnesota with the Fury’s UAA team but trust me, she has been playing some of her best basketball to date. Asp is a 6’2 Forward, who is going to be a lot to handle at the next level when she suits up with the Bison. Asp is someone that is fantastic with her ability to score near the basket, while being a very good rebounder as you might assume. She is someone that understands where a missed shot is going to come off the rim, giving her an advantage while working in the paint. The Minnesota Fury are a program that have a ton of ballers and Asp has been one of their most productive this season. For the month of July, they will look to build on the foundation they set this past Spring season, hoping to make a run during their Circuit championship to end the year.

Karrington Asp Karrington Asp 6'2" | PF Western Dubuque | 2025 State IA is competing out of Minnesota for her last year of AAU ball and it has been going really well for her Minnesota Fury GUAA 2025 team. Asp is a 6’2 Power Forward, that is D1 committed to compete following her high school career and she has showed her production at a high rate this Spring season. She is currently a Top 10 player in the country on the UA Circuit in FG% at just over 40%, showing her worth on that side of the ball. Defensively, she is someone that in a menace by the rim. She can wall up and guard bigger opponents or she can get a handful of blocks coming from help side if her teammates get beaten off the dribble. There is still a few months of AAU season left moving into the Summer and I’m expecting some more of the same out of Asp moving forward. She is a difference maker and she should continue to play like it.

When we are speaking about players that have natural size, strength, coordination, touch, and knowledge of the game, Karrington Asp Karrington Asp 6'2" | PF Western Dubuque | 2025 State IA of Western Dubuque High School is one of the best out of the 2025 Class throughout the State of Iowa. Asp is a competitive Forward/Post, that is going to be productive in more ways than one once she graduated and suits up with her future North Dakota State Bison’s program. Asps’s best ability is her skill next to the basket. On both sides of the floor, she is difference maker because of her size and discipline. At the next level, if her team’s offense can get her set in positions to be successful, she will have one heck of a collegiate career. She works hard and never takes plays off, when you combined that with everything else that I’m talking about, you start to see why Asp was offered so early on in her high school career. I’m not sure if she would have had other big time offers like this but I’m sure that doesn’t matter. What matters is that she is committed and ready to work.

- 1/18/24 vs IC City High – 19 Points (6-14), 11 Rebounds, 2 Steals, 2 Blocks
The Western Dubuque Bobcats came away with a meaningful win on Thursday evening at home against the Iowa City Little Hawks. In this contest, the Bobcats main source of production was at her best in the form of Karrington Asp Karrington Asp 6'2" | PF Western Dubuque | 2025 State IA . Asp is a college committed player already and she is working each night to become better for her future endeavors. She ended this one with a game high 19 points, while also bringing in 11 Rebounds. Asp has natural height and physicality. Not to mention that she moves really well down the floor and isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty in the paint. The Bobcats might only be sitting with an 8-6 record but trust me, Asp is doing what she can. She is going to be the type of consistent player at the next level that I wouldn’t be surprised if she see’s the floor right away, depending on their returning roster. She has all in the intangibles, she just needs to stay hungry. That’s when she is at her best.

The only player on a 16U All State AAU team that I named, that is currently committed to play college ball at this point is Karrington Asp Karrington Asp 6'2" | PF Western Dubuque | 2025 State IA . Asp is a handful on the court for her opponents. She has size, strength, skill, and speed. When you add those all together, it’s a tough matchup. She has coordination to catch at the three point line and take her defender into the paint, she can score with her back to the basket going over either shoulder on the catch, and she can score out of the mid-post in a number of different ways depending on how her opponent is playing her. This AAU season for Asp, was one of the most compete I saw at any age level. Her game is going to translate to the college stage and I expect her to produce right away after what I’ve seen this spring/summer, but for now, she is going to focus on her junior year of high school ball that is coming up. If she locks in this fall, she could be a top 5 player in the state of Iowa this winter.

Karrington Asp Karrington Asp 6'2" | PF Western Dubuque | 2025 State IA is a player that has shown over this past 6 months that she is one of the best in the 2025 class, especially at the power forward position. Coaches love a player who has a high motor, plays physical basketball on both sides of the floor, and combines both of those things with some skill and coordination. That’s Asp for ya. An athlete with a physical demeanor, who would be labelled as a “stat-stuffer” with how many categories she impacts on the court. Overall, Asp has a nice looking future ahead. She is going to receive some real interest over this next few months, leading into the high school season. Someone with her ability and size, is a commodity for a coach at any level.
