Karson Dunn Karson Dunn 5'6" | PG South Gibson | 2026 State TN is just different!  I went back and watched South Gibson beat Crocket, and Dunn finished with 23 points, and an incredible 14-14 from the free throw line.

I don’t think casual fans understand the value in being a player that 1) gets to the rack 2) draws fouls at the rim at a high rate and 3) knocks them down.

If you haven’t had the chance to watch Karson Dunn Karson Dunn 5'6" | PG South Gibson | 2026 State TN from South Gibson, trust us at PGH:  she’s worth the price of admission.  Not only is she a really high level floor general and passer, but she’s also an elite shooter.  She’s making three 3s per game on 41% shooting, giving her team that PG presence that’s both a threat to score and facilitate.  80% of her points are coming from 3…and that’s ok!  Be a specialist!  Pick a skill and be great at it!  That’s what Dunn’s done.

I mainly know of a PG, and knew she could score it a bit (5.4 pts/game) when asked.  But, I have no idea she was such a solid three point shooter.  She knocked down 51 3s last year at 34%.  Those mixtures of efficiency and volume are off the charts for a freshman!  Huge upside!

Dunn is an old-school PG with basketball IQ for days.  She was one of the best floor generals in the state as a freshman at South Gibson last season–but she also a really refined scorer.  An incredible passer, she helped last years Sr Hallie Allen become SGHS’s all-time leading scorer last season.  She makes on-time, on-target passes that always give her teammates the chance to make a play. As a PG and leader, she helped bring her team to the state 3-A Final Four, and put up 16pts and 8rebs in a quarterfinal win vs Dyer County.

She already has experience playing, and experiencing success on the biggest state, and doesn’t get rattled against vs defensive pressure or big moments. She’s a leader who loves challenges. This season you will see an uptick in her numbers as she will be relied upon to do more of everything as MTCS graduated a ton of talent.  Dunn is a special player, and this season could be be coming out party.
