Kassidi Smith Kassidi Smith 6'0" | PF/C Forrest City | 2028 State AR may not have been the highest riser in the 2028 ranking, but she took perhaps the most notable leaps of any player in this class. Smith had previously worked hard to make her way into the top 10, and now she is charging towards the top 5.
It is no wonder that Smith moved up from #10 to #7 in this class. Forrest City had an excellent 2024-25 season, thanks to Smith’s incredible play in the post. There is not a player in Arkansas who can outrebound Kassidi Smith Kassidi Smith 6'0" | PF/C Forrest City | 2028 State AR , as she has already logged a 30-rebound game this past season.
Smith is an amazing athlete. With her vertical leap, she can outjump the opposition and be the first to grab the ball off the rim. This also means she can block high-arcing shots that would be difficult for other bigs to contest. The forward is also very physical, moving the opposition around when she is boxing out, putting herself in a great position for the ball to fall right into her hands.
Kassidi Smith Kassidi Smith 6'0" | PF/C Forrest City | 2028 State AR is already the best rebounder in the state of Arkansas, even after just one season of varsity basketball. UAPB is already on the hype train, offering Smith after her incredible freshman season. Now, as we head into 2025-26, she is ready to prove that she is even better as a sophomore.

After a phenomenal freshman season, Kassidi Smith Kassidi Smith 6'0" | PF/C Forrest City | 2028 State AR has emerged as one of Arkansas’s best young post players. There was no way she was missing out on a spot in the top 10.
One of Smith’s most notable performances was in early February when she grabbed 30 rebounds against Southside Charter, which is tied with two other players for most rebounds in a game in Arkansas high school girls’ basketball history. She also had 24 points and 2 blocks in that game. Not too long after, she had 29 points and 16 rebounds in a win over Lonoke.
If you could not tell from those statistics, Smith is a double-double machine. She outworks everyone else on the floor and she is not afraid to use her strength to push the opposition out of the way. Smith also has good timing when going for rebounds, something that most high schoolers do not possess.
Board woman gets paid and that is what happens when Kassidi Smith Kassidi Smith 6'0" | PF/C Forrest City | 2028 State AR steps onto the floor. It is hard to believe that this freshman is already one of the best rebounders Arkansas has ever seen. I cannot wait to see how she develops.
