The Boston University commit is a stretch forward with a long frame that can have an imprint on the game from inside and out. Kate has exceptionally long limbs that make it easy for her to reach to the rim on her finishes. Gazelle-like strides make her a threat in transition rim running. Allard can snag offensive rebounds from just about anywhere on the floor. She uses a pump fake to get jumpy defenders in the air and finish without disruption. Allard has a soft touch that is finesse, but requires a lot of skill to be able to position that ball of the glass with some of the angles she has under the rim. As a shooter, she is able to stretch the floor with her efficient and high arching 3-point jump shot. She catches the ball seamlessly and doesn’t hesitate to let it fly from the perimeter. As a defender, Kate works hard to get the ball at high release points for blocks. She can stay in front of quicker players with her length and matches up well individually with most power forwards. Allard is particularly skilled big with a high ceiling for the dexterity.
